The fast and the furious at Nürburgring and Zeppelinfeld

Get in the ring for Rock am Ring and Rock im Park 2008! Germany’s most popular events are shifting into gear for next year with a killer line-up. From June 6 to 8 the fast and the furious of the international live music scene are appearing at the Nürburgring in the Eifel mountains and at the Nuremberg Zeppelinfeld. Metallica and Die Toten Hosen, two giants, are returning to the scene of their biggest triumph. Rage Against The Machine are the third amazing headliner, who – after a long break – will be picking up where they left off with their legendary performances of earlier years.

For Metallica, their exclusive festival appearances at the Ring and in the Park are amongst only a handful of appearances in the whole of Europe, and quite definitely the only ones in the German-speaking area in 2008. Die Toten Hosen will be opening their new cycle of live performances after a break of almost three years with their “home gigs” at the twin festivals.

The bill at this early stage clearly reveals once again the dimensions of Ring and Park, which were both sold out last year in advance, breaking new barriers with more than 150,000 visitors. Already, amongst others, Sportfreunde Stiller, Nightwish, Motörhead, Babyshambles, Bullet For My Valentine, In Flames, Dimmu Borgir and The Hellacopters have confirmed that they will be participating.

Further artists among the approx. 85 bands performing on three stages will be announced shortly. Football fans will not have to miss out on the important Euro 2008 matches either. These will be shown on large screens in public viewing areas.

Advance sales for both Ring and Park are already in full swing. All Ring and Park rockers will be given the opportunity of securing their tickets at last year’s price of 125.00 Euros (126.00 Euros for Rock im Park) until 31st January 2008. This includes the advance booking fee, fees for camping and parking and the refundable waste deposit of 5.00 Euros. CTS-fees and, possibly, postage costs are charged on top.

Devoted fans of the Nordschleife (North Loop) can once again book their tickets for their favourite rock quarters on the Ring in advance at the price of 15.00 Euros. These are only available from Tickets Per Post (www.tickets-per-post.de, Ticket hotline 069 - 9443660).
