Gwen Stefani spent the day at Pasadena Boulevard Park with Kingston When it comes to her pregnancy, Gwen Stefani isn’t taking it lying down. And the soon-to-be-mommy-for-the-second-time was spotted staying active yesterday. Accompanied by her son Kingston and mother Patti, the “Hella Good” singer spent some time out and about in Los Angeles’ Pasadena Boulevard Park. And she looked to be enjoying the beautiful weather, sporting a black maternity tank top along with a green paisley printed floor-length skirt and an oversized pair of shades. Gwen’s hubby Gavin Rossdale recently chatted with press regarding family life. He said, “Every day, I am more crazy about Kingston. He’ll do something and all over again I can’t believe how magic he is… This time [with the baby coming], I feel a lot more confident. First time around, I hadn’t even held a baby for more than three minutes prior to Kingston being born. I didn’t even know how to burp him.”

Wanderlust : Gavin Rossdale : Review : Rolling Stone
“Oh teardrop you know you make me so sad/This heartbeat could be my last,” sings Gavin Rossdale on his first solo album. The former Bush frontman may share a house with the world’s most manically upbeat pop singer, wife Gwen Stefani, but denominationally, he’s still grunge: a dour rock dude, scowling and growling as he bears down on another B minor chord. With the help of Bob Rock (Metallica), Rossdale gives Wanderlust a slick sheen, swabbing power ballads like “Beauty in the Beast” in a Roxy Music-like keyboard gloss, and experimenting with vocoder effects on the album-ending “This Place Is on Fire.” (Call him G-Pain.) But Rossdale’s heart is in the grim, grandiose stuff, bellowing his pain in Vedderian rumble, and forever striving to be deep and meaningful, a goal that exceeds his gifts as a songwriter. Case in point: “Frontline,” a dirge about a soldier at war that finds Rossdale intoning “poetry” like “In the arms of friendly fire/Everyone has the same desire.” Get this party pooper a copy of “Hollaback Girl.

We will now freely admit to having a slight residual crush on Gavin Rossdale (a.k.a. Mr. Gwen Stefani) dating back to the early ’90s, when Rossdale and his then-band Bush came out with their breathy single, “Glycerine.”

But that doesn’t mean we’re biased when it comes to reviewing “Love Remains the Same,” the first video release off his new LP, Wanderlust, which drops next month. And what this song lacks in pure, unadulterated Seattle-inspired grunge, it more than makes up for with gritty, black-and-white broody mood lighting and gratuitous shots of Rossdale in the shower. (Hollerz!)

Turns out the Kilburn, London native is still the soulful, raspy-voiced rocker we’ve crushed on for years. In fact, he seems to have gotten hotter with age. And no doubt, his wife would agree.

i have been at rehearsals this week and doing various bits of press and stuff like that.
working hard at keeping the focus where it should be-on wanderlust.

we have been deep in the valley working on best ways to get to you.
new york is lining up and there seems to be too little time to get this done.
that is life.
my life right now.

and then to europe-to germany,back home to london,see my people,play a rock show.

then some press in amsterdam-that’s fine by me.

i leave sunday-trekking across the country.

i’ll be thinking of you.
tuesday is coming.

like everything,it soon gets here.
the marathon begins.it is not a sprint.
